If you are a person who does not wear jewelry I do not think the weight will be a problem because anything you buy will take some getting used to. It is not true to size. My fiance is a size 9.5 and had to make a return to swap it out for a 9. The delivery and the professionalism of this company so far has been very accommodating. I purchased two of these rings, an 8mm and a 6mm, for my engagement in October 2006. I know it's probably difficult to imagine, but these rings just don't scratch, period! Short of shoving your hand in a jar of diamonds, I have no idea what daily activity would damage these.
